Here is another blog I have been reading lately when I’m in the mood for or need of a good laugh. It’s authored by a guy named Jon Acuff up in Atlanta. It’s a blog that takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the Christian culture and allows us to step outside of the fishbowl and laugh at ourselves a bit. So when you read his blog, make sure to approach with a sense of humor. Some of my favorite posts are: ( these are not actual titles — I am going from memory)
- Prayer Circles and the four people you meet in them: such a funny description of the prayer circle dynamic!
- Singing “Friends are Friends forever” at Youth events — how many times have you heard that song?
So check out his blog — You can find it at http://stufffchristianslike.blogspot.com/ Send a comment my way and let me know what you think!

Pastor Kerri, that site is AWESOME. I’ve been jumping from post to post on his site, laughing hysterically at times, but apperciating how real this guy is.
Lots of people are looking for Christians to be real, transparent, relatable.
Thank you for sharing it. I am posting the link to my site as well.
God Bless,
Gail
Pastor Kerri, Lowinn and I have been loving Stuff Christians Like. We’ve even been reading some of the posts out loud to each other just so we can share a laugh over the funniest, most authentic bits. I started following the links to Jon’s other blog, too, 97 Seconds With God, and it is awesome! He’s so honest and a thinker. It’s great to have a quick read that you can think about as you go through the day. He’s been doing chapter by chapter comments on Genesis, and it makes me wanna go back and look again at some of the nuances and intricacies he draws out. Thanks for pointing us to this blog.
Hi, Gail and Mindy — glad you liked that blog. It always gives me a laugh. I can identify with the posts. Mindy, I will have to look into the 97 seconds with God blog too.
I read your blog about going to stuff christians like a few months ago and I have been hooked ever since. Thank you very much. It gives me a good laugh even on the toughest days. It has also been a good tool to use to share with others that us christians really are human and do make mistakes.
Thanks again,
Charlene
